8/14/10 Deliberate Creating with Feng Shui
Choosing to create an exceptional life takes intent and action. The next couple of workshops, I will be following my book 27 Steps to Creating the Life of Your Dreams. I will suggest thoughts for the month, intentions, and a few Feng Shui tips. We’ll see how it goes, with covering 2 chapters a month. Follow the steps one through twenty seven to create the life of your dreams.
Welcome and thank you for your interest and desire to create your best life. I’m Kathy Wood and I am with KZ Décor.
Step One:
One of the universal laws is the law of attraction;” Like attracts like”. Just by your thoughts, you are attracting everything now present in your life. Would you like to improve your life? Work on changing your thoughts.
Everything around us has a vibrational energy. Either you are attracted to something or someone or not. Just like you know when you walk into a room whether you will feel comfortable there or not. Every color, every element, such as metal, water, wood, earth and fire has a very different feel and texture. There are three steps in having a creation game plan. Those are 1. Decide what you want, 2. Use symbols to remind you of what you want, and 3. Take steps toward it every day.
One thing blocking our good is often we feel we are not good enough. Many studies suggest that all negative attitudes stem from feelings of not good enough. When we feel and think we are not good enough to receive prosperity and a delightful life we attract more of not feeling good enough.
Feeling Unworthy and Beliefs about Being Not Good Enough is the Result of a False Mental Image of Perfection.
The problem the perfection belief is if we ever reached perfection, we would no longer be in physical form. As long as we are human we will make mistakes. A great book is Ask and It Is Given, by Abraham-Hicks. In the book Ester states “we will never get it all done”, “never get it wrong”, just get to do it again and so we might as well enjoy the journey.
So take the judgmental thoughts you have and look at the criteria of expectation that is behind the judgment. What constitutes your image of perfection? These hidden beliefs result in thoughts of being a failure and create emotions of unworthiness. By having an image of perfection in our mind we give credence to the voice in our head that puts us down. If we bring these dynamics into our awareness we have the opportunity to change them and rid ourselves of not feeling good enough. A great website is pathway to happiness.com
Break your self judgments that led to feeling unworthy and expose the image of perfection. Here is a list of impossible core beliefs.
The I “should” be:
- appear fresh, clean, open, ready, happy, intelligent, witty, sophisticated, baffling, and talented at all times
- discover something essential to the elevation of the human race
- say yes to everyone who asks a favor articulate
- smart, and brilliant,
- argumentative and constantly correct
- yet willing to be open to new ideas
- politically and culturally aware
- research constantly to stay ahead of the others
- compete to see who has the better ideas
- show off brilliance
- get many publications
- must be serious and approach life and work with serious effort and general attitude of seriousness
- have new and amazing brilliant ideas that prove my worth as a human being
- have a lot of books
- be nice and funny
- Be smarter than everyone
- seem distant, unreachable and serious.
- if there is work to be done, then no breaks allowed
- no for-fun books
The problem with should’s is that you miss the present. Right now who you are, what you do is enough. Just the way you are. So this week write down the negative voice in your head. Make an affirmation or choose one affirmation in the book to post on your bathroom mirror, put in your wallet, and recite it after each negative belief.
Thoughts:
- “It takes courage to push yourself to places that you have never been before…to test your limits…to break through barriers.” Anais Nin
- Choose to have an awesome year.
- Begin with imagining your best year, what would that look like? List three things you want to create this year.
- For example, more sources of income, healthy living, and profound relationships.
Intention:
- My life is ever expanding and improving.
- I am open and receptive to all good.
- Just because I am, beauty, joy and abundance is mine for the asking.
There is a wonderful web site called Visionboardsite.com, where you can make a vision board and set it to music. I posted my career dream, my relationship dream, my family dream, my health dream, my Fame and Reputation dream, my creativity dream and my helpful people dream.
Feng Shui Tip: Put your creation list under a lamp by the front door, or in your bedroom, or in the back left of your home or office. (Prosperity area) Leave the lamp on for 9 days, to heat up your intentions. Each time you see the lamp, you will remember to say yes to your intentions.
This is step two, in the process.
When we hang on to the stuff because we may need it someday, we stop the flow of the energy that brings in new and more beneficial blessings. So, if you are serious about improving your life, start to de-clutter. In Feng Shui, it is important to clear out anything you are done with. If you find it incredibly hard to let go of stuff, start in an area where you feel safe to let go. I suggest starting out with junk drawers, cosmetics, and out of date vitamins. I also suggest tossing out shoes because they symbolize walking into a better fitting life. The junk drawer is an easy place to start. Items to toss out can be 9 bread ties, or 9 plastic grocery bags. Make this process fun, laugh out loud at your junk.
What Your Stuff Means:
- Stuff from childhood: reluctance to accept adult responsibilities or inability to resolve childhood traumas.
- Clothing in different sizes: lack of faith in self, and low self esteem.
- Outdated printed materials (magazines, newspapers, etc): lack of faith in your present situation, not trusting yourself to make good choices in the present.
- Items bought but never used: the inability to find your life’s passion.
- Excess clothing: a desire for more love in your life.
- Books not read in years: ongoing search for life’s meaning.
- Extra flatware, dishes, glasses, tablecloths, mats, etc: desire to please others.
- Gardening tools, seeds not used or planted: feeling inadequate as a nurturer.
- Nuts, bolts, saved building materials–a belief that you still have much to accomplish in life.
Thought:
- Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
- What other people think of you is none of your business.
- The best is yet to come.
Intention: (Post on the bathroom mirror, the dashboard of the car, and/or the fridge)
- Life is filled with delightful surprises.
- My life is joy filled. I choose to see joy, love, laughter and friendship.
- I choose to stop all criticism so that I can forgive, relax and be open.
- I open my heart and allow wonderful things to flow into my life.
Feng Shui Tip:
- De-clutter: Toss out 9 items in you junk drawer. If you are on a roll, go for 27.
- In a clear bowl with water place three tealight candles, let burn completely, (Apx. 3 hrs) and then toss the water outside.
- Put five shiny pennies under the outside door mat. As you and guests walk in they will be bring prosperity to the household or business.
In Closing, My intent is that your well-being is expanded and is forever expanding with Feng Shui. I hope you will try out one or more cure and your life and the life of your family will benefit from the information given here.
I appreciate the opportunity to share my Feng Shui passion with you. I look forward to meeting you in person, in a workshop, consultation or on line.
